UC Irvine is proud to be among 46 statewide campuses selected for the inaugural #CaliforniansForAll College Corps program.
Governor Newsom’s unprecedented investment in college service aims to create pathways for low-income students to tackle our greatest challenges by engaging in community-serving opportunities while receiving financial compensation.
Led by California Volunteers and the California Office of the Governor, the College Corps Program has three priorities across the state:
To engage college students in meaningful service to build leadership and civic responsibility
To promote academic success and economic well-being with students from diverse backgrounds
To support the work of community-based
organizations in key local priorities: food insecurity and climate action.
This program is open to AB 540 CA Dream Act Students, ensuring that at participating campuses any California college students has a chance to earn money while they serve their community.
