Why Become a Community Host Partner?
Young people want the chance to make change – #CaliforniansForAll College Corps is a great way to do it. Climate action, food insecurity, and health/basic needs are among the biggest issues facing our society and with your help as a Community Host Partner, young people can make a huge impact.
#CaliforniansForAll College Corps at UCI provides valuable connections to higher education institutions in your community while helping to address local priorities.
- UCI College Corps Fellows will provide up to 15 hours a week of direct support to organizations working in food insecurity, climate action, and/or health/basic needs.
- Host organizations will gain access to training and networking opportunities provided by partner campuses and California Volunteers.
- This program deepens connections between higher education and the community to advance student learning and address critical needs in our neighborhoods.
By partnering with #CaliforniansForAll College Corps at UCI, you are providing valuable on-the-job training and experience to your future workforce.
- UCI College Corps is not just an opportunity for students, this program is infusing the community with a new generation of civic-minded individuals.
- UCI College Corps supports commitment to public service, and addresses challenges all Californians face — particularly in historically underserved communities.
- This program is an invaluable opportunity for our students to not only earn money by contributing to the greater good, but also to help you cultivate the future leaders of your organization/industry/sector.
We’d like Fellows to have time to connect with your organization and the important work you are doing – learning your organization’s day-to-day activities and support in the community, creating a weekly volunteer schedule, and getting in some training with you and us as UCI College Corps before they begin their year of service.
As UCI College Corps, we are interested in how we can work together to set our Fellows up for success by making this an experience full of learning and growth through service, mentorship, and impact.
